How to Make Our Editor’s Page Tray Work for You

Last but not least on our road trip through the Mixbook Editor is the Page Tray. The editor’s Page Tray is located at the very bottom of the editor. Your page tray will look different depending on what project you are editing. The different trays views are shown below.

Clicking on any of the pages in the page tray will automatically display that page in the Editing Area.

As you may have noticed, the Photo Book page tray has an additional toolbox, located on the far right. This it the Page Tool Box.

In the Page Tool Box, you can click on the respective buttons to add, duplicate, or remove pages.

And there you have it! We have completed our journey through the Mixbook Editor. We hope you didn’t get car sick! Now that you know how to get started, let’s get to work! Missed one of our four stops? You can always return to the main Road Map here.

Awesome, thank you. I am currently working on my first mixbook. I missed the latest sale that ended Feb 19th, so will take my time to finish it and wait for the next great deal. I am looking forward to seeing the finished product and sharing it with others. the editor seems quite easy to use, once you get the hang of it. It took a bit to figure out the import photos. It takes time to upload photos, so I just do it late at night, ready for the next day.
    Cheers Louise

I am trying to make a mixbook using scanned photographs from the past. The old way of having photos LOL.
I have many of the photos in paper scrapbook albums.. BUT.. they do not see daylight very often. Putting them in a mixbook would be easy access and quick memories of some highlight… like births, weddings, birthdays etc.
The catch is that every scanned photo I insert comes up with a caution symbol, till I resize to very small. Is there a trick or better format to try???
    Cheers Louise
ps my first book is almost finished… just putting finishing touches on journalling

    Hi Louise,
The yellow triangle is a warning that notifies you that an image is of low resolution. If this warning is visible on some of your pictures, please note that these pictures may print blurry or pixelated. You may not be satisfied with the way your book prints if you leave the images this way. For best print quality, photos should be at least 4MB at 300 dpi. If a higher resolution image is not available, would you be able to resize the photos so that they appear smaller in your book, or consider printing the book at a smaller size? We hope this helps! 🙂
    Warmest Regards,

HI, I’m new to Mixbook…bought a Groupon last year when my baby was born and now am frantically trying to figure how to create my books before my Groupon expires. My first question is loading pictures. From Facebook is fine but when I want to load pics from my computer (so the files are bigger and I can have larger pictures) I seem to only be able to load one pic at a time. How do I select multiples so it doesn’t take me a week to download pictures? Second question is once I have a book created online…how do I edit and change a specific picture if I change my mind? The fancy little clouds etc look great but it seems when I try to replace the original pic with a different one, the new one comes out as a square picture and sits overtop of the cloud frame…why is that? Thanks for your help.

  8. CSR says

    Hi Shelley,
Welcome to Mixbook! You can definitely select multiple photos to upload more than one photo at a time! After clicking the orange “Upload Photos” button, the pop-up will appear to select the files from your computer. You can click one photo, hold down the “Shift” key on your keyboard, and then click as many photos as you wish to add to your project! Just click the “Open” option and the photos will begin uploading! In regards to your second question, to replace pictures in existing frames, you will first need to locate the photo you want to use in your photo tray. Once you have located it, click and drag the photo into the correct frame. The photo frame will highlight to a light orange hue to let you know that the picture is in the correct insert area. If the frame already has a photo placed in it, this new photo will replace the existing one. We hope this helps! If you have any further questions, feel free to e-mail us at! 🙂
    All the best,

I’ve encountered a problem loading photos from a folder into the tray. Some of the photos load sideways. I suspect they were the photos shot vertically. When I downloaded them from my camera, I rotated them so they are upright in my photo folders. This problem didn’t happen on my first 2 mixbooks. Any suggestions? Thanks…Bob

I am having trouble rearranging pages in the photo tray. Is there a screen that show all the pages so you can tell what to move where to get the pages in order.

  12. Mixbook Customer Care Team says

    Hi Sue!
Sorry to hear that you are having trouble rearranging pages in your project! We have a video tutorial on how you can move pages within a book. This tutorial covers how to swap pages and also how to move a two-page spread to another location. Please visit our tutorial here:
Please note that at this time, if you delete a page in your book we do not automatically move up all of the pages to fill in the blank page. You will either need to delete the second associated page in the spread, or swap an alternate page in your book with the blank page. (Any pages left blank in your book will print out that way.)
We hope this helps! Please let us know if you have any additional questions, and we’d be happy to help! 🙂

I’m having trouble uploading multiple photos. When I select them all they look like they’re uploading and processing but then start over again. I can download one at a time. What am I doing wrong????

  14. Mixbook Customer Care Team says

    Hi John!
We’re sorry to hear that you are having trouble uploading multiple photos to your project! If photos do not completely upload and restart the uploading process, you may be experiencing browser issues. Would you be able to try downloading the newest version of Flash to your computer? You can do so by visiting:

If you have updated the Flash player and it is still not working correctly, please try and clear internet browser’s cache. The instructions on how to do this for your particular browser can be found here:'s-Cache

We would also recommend trying a different browser. If you are still experiencing the same issue, please contact us at so we may assist you further!

I have scanned some old pictures so that I can import them into my mixbook album. Many of them import sideways and then when I rotate the view, they appear to be stretched one way or the other. This is so frustrating. These are some of the better pictures! Any suggestions? Thx.
