One of the great things about Mixbook is the ability to share your projects. You can e-mail projects to friends, post them onto Facebook walls or post them to your blog or homepage. Today, we’ll show how easy it is to add a Mixbook project to your blog. It only takes three easy steps.
Step One
Log-in to your Mixbook account and click on the project you would like to share. From the preview page, scroll down to the “About this Mixbook” section. Here you will find your “Embed” code. You’ll want to highlight and copy this entire code.

Step Two
Next, log-in to your blog or webpage account and edit the page in HTML mode. You’ll want to paste the embed code from above into the editing area or your blog. The screen shot below shows the WordPress platform. Notice that we are pasting the code in the “HTML” tab and not the “Visual” tab.
Step Three
Save your changes and you’ll be able to view your project on your blog or web page! The project being displayed below is an example of what an embedded project looks like.
A note on sharing projects: In order for others to view your project, you’ll want to make sure your project is set to a public setting. Remember, while our example uses a photo book project, the same steps can be used to share cards and calendars!
Why do this?
Sharing to a large group has never been easier! If you’ve made a family history book, you can post the Mixbook project onto the extended family website. Instead of trying to remember everyone’s e-mail, it’s posted to a central page! This is also especially beneficial for teachers. Keep parents up to date on every day classroom happenings by posting your projects to your classroom page. You can create and update the classroom yearbook or even share student projects with the rest of the class. The possibilities are endless!
No project to share? No worries, start your Mixbook now!

I tried adding my project to my blog at blogspot.com. When I went to preview it, the project partially loads but will not play. There are about 4 progress type bars across the image, only one of which fully loads and displays. Any suggestions on what I am doing incorrectly? I was so excited to be able to showcase my books and am a bit frustrated that it is not as easy as your directions made it sound. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Hi Shauna!
We’re sorry to hear that you are experiencing issues while trying to post your project to your blog! Would you be able to send us a screenshot of the issue to support@mixbook.com? The following link will provide more information on how to take a screen shot: http://take-a-screenshot.org/ This will help our tech team members look into the issue better for you. Thank you!
Best Regards,

I love the way the embedded code opens into a half-size page-at-a-time slide show. I would like to see a two-page spread like in the Mixbook composition page preview window, which can be made full-screen. Is there a way to modify the embed code to provide that?
Hi Jim!
At this time, the embedded code does not allow for projects to be viewed as a two page spread. We do appreciate your feedback, however, and we will forward your suggestion to our engineering team.
Please feel free to contact us again if you have any additional questions, comments, or concerns, and we’d be happy to help!
All the best,
Veronica
Hello,
This is a really cool feature that I love, thank you!
I’m still in the process of creating a book & a website….
Have uploaded my, in progress, book and it is turning pages really fast, is there a way I could slow it down?
Thank you

My book doesn’t show any code to embed it. I have an older book I embedded in my blog a couple of years ago, but now it’s not showing any code either. Any idea what’s going on?

This didn’t work for me at all. I tried it several times, following the “simple” three steps exactly, and adding it to my wordpress blog. When I publish, the only thing that appears is the mixbook line and, when clicked on, it takes you to the main generic mixbook homepage where people can start their own project. It does not link to my particular project at all. I know I’m not especially tech savvy — but this claims it is so easy, and I have followed the directions exactly over and over, and still it won’t work. I give up. Mixbook used to be a great place for these kinds of projects, but I think I’ll start looking around for a new place because you have gotten rid of so many of the features you used to offer that brought me here in the first place a couple years ago. No more gallery. No more multiple mailings from one order. When other sites are upgrading, yours seems to be taking a downward slide – and it’s a shame, because your templates and choices are great and very flexible. Oh, well.
Thanks for your post Tess!
